One important consideration in understanding scale of wind turbines is the potential for power generation depends on the "swept area" of the rotor blades. The power output of a wind turbine is directly related to the swept area of its blades. The larger the diameter of its blades, the more power it is capable of extracting from the wind. So a 150 ft dia rotor has the potential to generate 9 times the power compared to a 50 foot diameter rotor and 36 times more power than a 25 foot rotor! That's why we see large diameter wind turbines. Micro-wind scale generation is neat but not going to get us very far off the grid.
